Carib Vibe

Hey,
So this weekend I went to the launch party for Ebony & Ivory's Carib Vibe Petrie Island event, it was a really good jam. For those who don't know, Carib Vibe is a party that usually happens in the summer that is put on by Ebony & Ivory Soundcrew in Ottawa. Since this event has been going on for many years it has grown to big to have in just a regular club in the city. So they are doing a full day event at Petrie Island in Orleans. This will probably replace Carib-Expo as the best event for a taste of caribbean culture. I'm looking forward to dancing to some reggae, dancehall, soca, calypso and much more all day.

For those who don't know Who Lay-D Shelz is, she is an upcoming female rapper in Ottawa. She's the future of hip-hop in Canada. I've never seen a female rapper in Canada who is notice for her beauty and rhyming skills equally. She has the capacity to spit rhymes that are hard hitting but present an image of class, even in the most rugged circumstances. She's a Hot89.9 Battle of the Beats: Hall of Fame winner. This is one female rapper that is on the rise and all hip-hop lovers should watch out for.

THIS IS ME

Anna Elle is a singer, writer, poet and dancer all in one. She was born in Jamaican but found her love for music in Canada. At the age of 5 she had the courage to stand alone in front of a crowd, thus evolving into a powerful voice. She enjoys singing reggae, classical, gospel and R&B music. From her exposure to many different genres of music she has learned how to sing with her soul and to not be afraid to feel the music inside. This bright new artist hopes to captivate the world through the magic of music.
